Hey Tyler, what do you think about Apple Aperture 3? I still haven't decided between Lightroom and Aperture although I'm leaning towards Aperture for things like geotagging and mapping, books ordering, etc. It's also cheaper and I like the way Apple software is made and how it integrates into Mac OS X.
I'm not a pro, I just need a better way to organize my pictures than with iPhoto.

The Lightroom vs. Aperture choice is a lot like choosing between Canon and Nikon. They both get the job done very well, with only minor differences. I chose Lightroom because you data management software is something that will affect your image workflow for years to come, and I have more trust in Adobe's long term commitment to their product. There are a few features in Aperture that I like more at the moment (maps and geo support), but those are small details. Try them both, choose the one that feels right.
Yeah, you might be right about Adobe's long term commitment vs Apple's in the photo field. I'll use the 30-day free trial on both and will see for myself. Thanks.
Hi Tyler, I really like your video blog, even if i already know something that you are talking about i wathing you video anyway, because it is done very well =)) light, shallow dof, music at the beginning.. very nice. About your workflow process, how do you manage rejected photos, probably after shooting you are choosing few great shoots from thousands, how do you delete all that you will not use?
I just found your site, and first off I love your videos. Especially the review of the T2i, 7D, and the 5D mark2, but I was wondering if you would be willing to make a video where you walk through your editing process? We have a brief look at WB correction and your lightroom process, but I was curious if you could give us a full run through on a singular image, from Lightroom, to Photoshop, to finished product? Just a thought I love what you have, the image quality is great, audio is nice, and these videos are very informative. Thanks again!
EXCELLENT VIDEO! But just like Doyle, I'd like to see your Photoshop portion as well....going through the entire workflow through a single photo. I'm not a photographer, but I love photo editing in Photoshop. I'm trying to learn Lightroom as it will make my work in Photoshop a little easier (thank you so much for the tutorial again, it has helped me immensely!).
