iStock has opened the door for thousands of photographers to make a living from the work they love. I am one of those photogs, worked on the current site design.
Off to the west coast for 12 days, and here is what I've packed for camera gear. It will be a mix of some portrait sessions with a few really hot friends, and of course some landscapes and scenery.
I think you have almost everything covered. You could bring a rain coat for your camera if you are expecting wet weather. I like the Shutter Hat because it fits in a tiny pouch and it works great! http://www.photolife.com/article.php?idArticle=177 Kata, has a great line of covers too.
We tested out the HeroCam at Mt. Norquay last weekend. It is awesome! I will be posting footage from it on the TCS site next week. Have fun in Vancouver!
What is the name of your timer remote? I am looking at buying one for my Canon 7D. I don't have a limit to my budget, but I would like to hear what you think is a good one to get.

PS: Jordan and I really like your movies!
I've seen those little protectors, and they are a cool idea. I also wish I had a HeroCam HD :)
The hardest part will be motivating myself to go out in the rain.
